• AI Insights are intended to help summarize records. They are not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information collected to:

• Provide the core pet journal features
• Save, display, and organize pet records
• Sync your data across devices when you are signed in
• Restore your data after signing back in
• Enable shared care with trusted caregivers
• Send local reminders and recurring care notifications
• Generate optional AI summaries
• Improve app reliability, performance, and user experience

3. Cloud Storage and Sync

If you sign in, KnowPaw uses Firebase services to store and sync your data securely across devices.

This may include pet profiles, records, recurring care items, weight records, uploaded files, account profile information, and shared care data.

If you use Guest Mode, your data is primarily stored locally on your device. If you later sign in and choose to sync, your local data may be uploaded to cloud storage.

You should avoid uploading sensitive information unless you are comfortable storing it in the app.

6. Notifications

KnowPaw may use local notifications to remind you about recurring pet care, missed care summaries, or other app-related reminders.

You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use your pet health records for third-party advertising.

We do not share your pet records with other users unless you choose to use shared care features, such as inviting a caregiver to access a pet profile.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the app's features, maintain your account, and support data sync.

You may delete records, remove pets, or stop using shared care features within the app. Some deleted items may remain temporarily in local storage, backups, or cloud systems before being fully removed.

• Create or sign in to an account
• Edit or delete pet information
• Delete individual records
• Remove uploaded photos or files
• Manage notification permissions
• Stop sharing a pet with caregivers

KnowPaw is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

KnowPaw is a pet recordkeeping and care tracking app. It does not provide veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
